Description

Central air conditioning will keep you comfortable this summer in this well cared for two story cape home located just .75 miles to Glendon Beach. Eat in kitchen and a separate dining room. Hardwood floors and a living room featuring a sea captain's motif. Screened porch and deck overlook a wooded and private back yard. Amenities include 2 TV's, cable, WIFI, dishwasher, keurig coffee maker, washer, dryer and microwave. A gas grill and picnic table are provided for your barbeque needs.

Great! Loved the house. There were however some safety concerns, which I had described to someone already. These included a very slippery deck when raining, a non-secure block of wood in the outdoor shower and rugs in the small bathroom that when wet, were also slippery.
Everything else about the house was great!

This our 2nd year at 87 Capt Chase Rd, and we had a great stay again. Kudos to Martha Murray staff who handled a trash situation and key lockout with speed and grace. As usual, we are sad to head home and leave the Cape behind!

We enjoyed a wonderful multi-generational family vacation at 87 Captain Chase in 2021. The house was comfortable, well maintained and fit our needs with multiple family units perfectly. It's a short walk to the beach, and centrally located to many Cape attractions. We can't wait to go back!

"A wonderful family Cape Cod vacation!"

My family and I really enjoyed the cottage! It was so comfortable and nicely decorated. I enjoyed the Cape Cod decor and sea captains on the mantel! The location was ideal and we enjoyed group walks to the beach up the road! One of my daughters enjoyed early morning walks with the double stroller and 2 of my grand daughters. We had showers for my daughter and daughter-in-law who are both due in August. Fun family gatherings on the different beaches in the area. We also enjoyed souvenir shopping at Cuffy's! A great Cape Cod experience!!! Hope to rent this cottage again next year. Thank you Martha Murray Vacation Rentals!

 

"Great Experience at 87 Captain Chase Road"

This was out second stay at this lovely home. Plenty of room, great kitchen, screened in porch and 15 minute walk to the beach. Also 10 minutes to Woolfie's bakery - best muffins anywhere. Five minutes more to the Sundae School and a fresh produce stand along the way - this is a great location! The cottage is very lovely inside and very well kept.

Outstanding. The house is much bigger than it appears from the photos. Property management team was awesome. They came and grabbed trash that was overflowing the barrels so we had room for our trash before Tuesday pick up. They also got me a filled propane tank on request.

We have rented this property in the past and found it ideal in every way! We hope to rent it again next year. As we have so many years in the past, we rented through Martha Murray Vacation Rentals. Renting through them is great, they make it so very easy -- no hassles and they are very accommodating and really helpful. They go out of their way to make your Cape Cod vacation great.

"Tornado Shortener"

We LOVED the house and location! Everything was perfect!...except the weather. We lost power due to the unexpected tornado. My 89 y.o. aunt and 80 y.o. mother had a difficult time navigating a walker and wheelchair in unfamiliar surroundings in the dark. Because of this we had to cut our vacation short and left Wednesday night. We know that your rental agency does not have any control over reimbursements but I was hoping you would be able to reach out to the owner on our part and explain our situation. We appreciate any help you can offer.
That said, we would love to rent the same property next summer!
Just let us know when you will begin booking for next summer!

we loved it, the porch/deck area were great, the setup of the inside allowed privacy for all, woods out back were a nice buffer and neighborhood was quiet. We walked or rode bikes to beach every day.

Great vacation, as always. The couch and loveseat were kind of uncomfortable. Maybe they could be replaced. That was our only issue. Everything else was great.

"Quaint and convenient"

Very nice, quiet with location central to the cape area beaches including a few walking distance away. Added plus was a convenience store 2 minutes away. The only complaint would be that it could really use mattress upgrades. You could feel the springs in them. Otherwise 2 thumbs up.

Very professional and pleasant employees. The location of the house was great! Beaches were outstanding! There are 2 suggestions we would give the house. Overall the house is awesome. We would suggest installing a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink. Also build a stronger platform in the outdoor shower using trexboard and pressure treated wood- it is presently a bit unsafe.

"Livin the dream!"

This is a perfect location and awesome cottage for a family with children. My wife and I have 6 children from age 11 to 21 --- they all had a blast and the cottage accommodated all of us. A very short walk to an awesome beach made it perfect. A convenient store 200 yards away was nice too.

We had a great week here! House is big enough that you weren’t bumping into each other. Loved the screened in porch!! In walking distance to beach and restaurants. Stayed in this same house 10 years ago and hope to do it again!

Excellent stay, but porch was in need of a good sweeping and cleaning due to pollen. Outdoor shower is always a plus. Each time we go to Dennis we find a new place to go. Very relaxing.

The property was well located and easy to find. It is close tot he beach and was furnished nicely and very clean. The back yard is very small but the enclosed back porch, grill, and deck helped us feel like we were on vacation.
