Description

This 3-bedroom sunlit cottage will make you smile. The home sleeps 5 and has everything you need for a carefree getaway. Located on a quiet dead-end street, it's a short walk (.3 mile) to access the private beach at the Heritage Sands or Haigis beach on Nantucket Sound. Inside there is a separate spacious dining room. The bathroom has a washer/dryer with a custom stand- up glass enclosed shower (20'' opening). Hardwood floors throughout and a mini split air conditioner in the living room. The lighted backyard patio has seating for eating and gathering around the solo stove and an enclosed outdoor shower.

Close attractions and restaurants include Holiday Hill mini golf, The Original Seafood Restaurant, The Oyster Company, Thai Ocha Cafe, Honey Dew Donuts, Chapin's Fish and Chips, Cleat and Anchor, Bandera's, the South Side Cantina, The Dog House, Sundae School, and Woolfie's Coffee and Breakfast Bakery. There are no shortage of options when you rent this home!

"Great house. Great location "

This was our first year renting this house, and we were very happy with it. The house was clean, and the furniture was in good shape. The bathroom is small, but that’s because it has the stacked washer/dryer in it. That was a huge plus, compared to most rentals. The back yard/patio isn’t very big, but there’s still plenty of room for 4-8 people to sit. The house behind this one is right up against the fence. So there’s not a ton of privacy, as far as conversation goes. The location is definitely the highlight. Almost the last house on a dead end. So very little traffic to speak of. And a five minute walk to Haigis Beach, which was super convenient. There are three other beaches well within walking distance as well. As always, Martha Murray’s office is great to deal with. We were having trouble with the gas grill. We called the office, and they came over immediately and helped us out. The only other thing worth mentioning is the available silverware and cutting knives could use some updating/sharpening. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.

Clean cottage near end of street so it is quiet from traffic. Nice patio out back with great shade from towering trees. Separate dining room great for playing board games, or, like, dining. Beach chairs and sand toys and water toys are located in shed. House has AC but there are fans in the shed if that is more to your liking.

Excellent experience renting this property for the second year. Easy walk to beach, great location for nearby restaurants and shopping. Quiet neighborhood. Cottage had everything we needed. We ll be there next summer.

"Wonderful stay"

We had such a wonderful week at cape Cod in the Shirley avenue house.
Everything was clean. A+!
The outdoor patio was a nice bonus during the week because if the hot temperature. Praticaly ate there all the time!
2 members of our party are passionates fishermens. So, Hagis beach at the end if the Street was perfect for them.

That was a realy a wonderful week!

This is a great cottage - perfect for me to enjoy with my elderly parents. Very quiet street (early in the season). Such a great location close to Many restaurants, ice cream and most importantly a nice short walk to the beach. The only thing we missed were the Adirondack chairs that were out front last year - my parents loved sitting in those. New furniture out back is very nice!

The cottage was located at the end of a quiet dead end street and it was a short walk to the public beach. The cottage was very clean and well equipped with dishes and cookware. The backyard had a lovely sitting area and outdoor shower.

This home was fantastic!

We have been renting in this area of Dennisport for 30+ years and come back because of the familiarity to the area as well as the easy access to the beach.

The home at 32 Shirley Ave was phenomenal. Fully updated and all the amenities and clean as a whistle. We loved staying in this home and look forward to another stay, possibly for a longer stretch next summer.

"Shirley Avenue"

The cottage and location were great, I would recommend new outdoor furniture, it was not very comfortable. There were tree branches hanging over the cottage brushing up against the house they might want to trim just to protect the roof
